Silverado - I've been running this tribute to Horace Silver for several years now, for which Kevin Figes is added to the quintet on alto sax. These tracks were recorded live at Sherborne Jazz Club 22/01/05. I transcribed and arranged these tunes from the album A Prescription For The Blues.
Andy Hague Big Band - to celebrate my 40th birthday I thought I'd do something really stupid, so I wrote a whole set of big-band charts. This was recorded 13/11/05 at The Tobacco Factory in Bristol. Soloists are Ben Waghorn [alto sax], Jim Blomfield [piano], Jake McMurchie [tenor sax] & Andy Hague [flugel].
Translucence - like many jazz musicians I have become interested in computer sequencing and electronica. Here are a couple of pieces where I play trumpet live over sequenced tracks. I put all the licks I can't play on trumpet into the Hammond organ solo on Fingerprints and let the computer do it.
